How to Practice the Fairway Finder

Set up as you would for a normal drive, then make two small adjustments: play the ball slightly further back in your stance and swing at 80 to 90 percent. The low tee height does the rest, and your launch monitor shows it immediately: lower launch, less side spin, a penetrating flight that holds its line.

Why practice with a 20 mm tee?

Because the fairway finder is a real shot, not a compromise. Teeing the ball down reduces side spin and produces a flatter, more predictable flight, and in the sim you see the proof in your numbers on every swing. Practicing it indoors gives you a reliable option when the course demands accuracy over distance.

Which clubs can I use with it?

Driver, Mini Driver, all work. At 20 mm the ball sits just above the mat, so it is also ideal for practicing tee shots.

Is 20 mm too low for my driver?

It is low on purpose. Expect a flatter launch and more roll instead of maximum carry. If you want to work on high launch as well, combine the Fairway Finder with our Premium Simulator Tees from 30 mm to 50 mm.

Will the tether affect my swing or my launch data?

No. The lightweight cord lies flat on the mat behind the tee, out of the strike zone and out of the camera's critical tracking area. You will forget it is there, until it saves your tee.

What happens if I hit the tee directly?

Nothing. The soft engineering polymer flexes on impact and springs back into shape. It will not damage your club face, and your club will not damage the tee.

Does it work with radar-based launch monitors like Trackman?

Yes. Radar systems track the ball and club, not colors, so the tee works flawlessly. The stealth black finish is a bonus for camera-based systems, where bright tees can interfere with optical tracking.

Can I use it outdoors on the driving range?

Of course, it is the same tee. For outdoor practice we recommend our signal orange Fairway Finder Tee, identical in every way except the color, which makes it much easier to spot outdoors.
